I wish someone had spoken more openly with me about my body. About vulvas, shame, pleasure and boundaries. About saying no, even when you’re scared of disappointing someone. And about how easy it is to lose yourself when you’re trying to be what everyone else wants you to be.
There are things it’s taken me years to understand. And while writing, I keep thinking: I wish I’d known this sooner.
That’s why I’m writing Come Back to My Body.
And I’m thinking especially of you who are 16, 17, 18, 19 or 20 right now. You’re trying to get to know yourself while so many people have opinions about who you should be. Maybe you have questions you don’t quite dare to ask. Maybe you’ve said yes when you really wanted to say no. I’ve done that too.
In this book, I share my own experiences, questions and exercises. The things I’ve found difficult to talk about, and the things I wish we spoke about much more openly. I hope you’ll find something in these pages that helps you feel less alone, and a little more confident about taking your own needs seriously.
And if you’re older and also wish you’d had a book like this: I’m writing for you too.
Would you like to read it in English or Norwegian?
I’m putting together an interest list to get an idea of how many people would like the English edition, Come Back to My Body, or the Norwegian edition, Kom tilbake til min kropp.

I can’t wait to share it with you.
